THE GROWTH OF NORTH TEXAS: A Defining Opportunity

The College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs (CAPPA) at the University of Texas at Arlington, in association with Dallas & Fort Worth chapters of AIA and CSI, is pleased to announce its 14th Annual Building Science Expo. to be held on February 17, 2016 (12:00 - 9:00 PM).

The Expo. gives architecture and engineering design professionals, builders and developers, city administrators, regional and urban planners of Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex an opportunity to meet with each other in the setting of CAPPA, its students, faculty, and administrators. As in the previous years, the Expo. includes the following items:

  1. Building Material Trade Show (free, no charge)
    (12:00 Noon to 6:00 PM)
  2. Three afternoon lectures, AIA CEU approved (free, no charge)
    (2:00 - 500 PM)
    1. "Overview of 2015 International Building Code" by Van Tran, VP, Bureau Veritas, NA
    2. "Whole Building LCA in Leed v.4" by Dirk Kestner, Director Sustainable Design, Walter P. Moore
    3. "Challenge the Structural Engineer to Contribute to the Architect's Vision" by Thomas Taylor, Datum Engineering Inc.
